Roche J. Featherstone, MD

Dr. Featherstone has performed Bariatric Surgery at Munson Medical Center since August 2003. He attended medical school at Wayne State University and completed his residency at St. John Hospital in Detroit. He is Board Certified in General Surgery. He joined the Munson Medical Center staff in 1996.

His other areas of specialty include Breast Surgery, Colon and Rectal Surgery, Endoscopy, Gall Bladder Surgery, Hernia Surgery, Laparoscopic Hernia Repair, and Laparoscopic Surgery.

Dr. Featherstone and his wife, Leslie, are the parents of three children — Taylor, Nicholas, and Zachary. When he’s not working, he enjoys sports, fishing, hunting, and restoring automobiles.

Dr. Featherstone became a surgeon because he wanted to be able to make a significant impact and improvement in the lives of patients. He finds working with gastric bypass patients extremely rewarding, and he particularly enjoys patients who are educated about their condition and motivated to make dramatic changes.
